2013 Billabong Air & Style Innsbruck-Tirol

The 20th anniversary of the Air & Style went down in Innsbruck on Feb. 1st & 2nd 2013. More than 50 riders, 4 Bands and 16500 Fans celebrated this epic weekend and witnessed one of snowboarding's most legendary weekends with a never seen before riders field. The burn style session on friday featured snowboarding legends such as Terje Haakonsen, Mike Basich and 3 time winner Stefan Gimpl. Saturday saw the Billabong Air & Style contest with Eric Willett taking the win followed by Sebastien Toutant and Aleks Ostreng. Sebastien Toutant also took home the World Snowboard Tour Big Air Champion Trophy.

In the fifth episode of the Grilosodes, Marko heads to Innsbruck, Austria to compete in the famous Billabong Air & Style snowboard contest. Along with his stylish riding, Marko throws down some impressive tricks to make a run for the top of the podium.

On February 1st and 2nd, 2013, the world's very best snowboarders will gather in Innbruck, Austria, for the 20th anniversary of Air & Style and for the inaugural burn Style Sessions.

Competing at the 2 day event are burn Units Stale Sandbech, Ulrik Badertscher and Werni Stock, alongside snowboarding legends Gigi Rüf (burn), David Benedek, Terje Haakonson and many more

More than 50 riders arrived in Innsbruck this week to kick of the 20th season anniversary of the legendary Air & Style in Innsbruck. Today was the first day of practice with perfect conditions both setup and weather and everything is set to make it the most EPIC event of the season.

It's heating up at the Bergisel in Innsbruck. First legendary party went down last night and the stadium is almost packed for todays Billabong Air & Style and the chase for the Ring of Glory. Also the live voting for your favorite model is on. VOTE!

In front of more than 10.500 spectators, Eric Willett took the top spot at the anniversary-Air&Style at the Bergisel Stadium Innsbruck with a Switch Backside 1260 Mute (88.33 points). In the Super Final of the best four, he left Sebastien Toutant (2./Cab Double Cork 1260 Melon/83.33 points), Aleksander Ostreng (3./Backside 1260 Mute/ 75.00 points) and Mark McMorris (4./Cab 1260 Indy/ 73.00 points) behind. He therefor took home 1,000 World Snowboard Tour points, the Ring of Glory and the lion's share of the 75.000 Euro prize purse. Mark McMorris (96.00 points) got the highest score of the evening for his Backside Triple Cork 1440 Mute from round 3. Last year's winner Peetu Piiroinen ended up in 10th place. At the same time, the Big Air Champion of the World Snowboard Tour was crowned at the last 6Star Big Air event of the season. Ending up in second place, Sebastien Toutant managed to take over the Champions title.
