Paul Wuerdig also known as Sido grew up in the Ghetto of Berlin (Germany). At the age of 13 he was introduced to the musical genre of Rap and knew from that moment on that this was his life’s calling. In 2004 his song “Mein Block” was the breakthrough for his career. Sido’s trademark was a silver scull mask, which he wore at all performances until 2005. His songs are offensive, provocative and paired with a bit self-mockery, not unlike America’s Rap icon, Eminem. His songs often describe his own life’s experiences and personal topics that others tend to remain silent about. Sido’s music touches a special chord with fans in many ways, not the least of which is how they encourage self-reflection. Since the unplugged concert in January 2010 distributed by MTV Germany, Sido has proven to be a true multi talent. On February 4th he will perform live on the Ö3-stage, with band, at the Bergisel stadium in Innsbruck and you will be able to draw your own conclusions about Germany’s hit rap sensation!
One thing is for sure, Alex Schwan definitely has the gift of the gab. Whereas most commentators confuse you with their descriptions of tricks, Alex knows what he’s talking about. After all he was head judge for countless snowboard contests and if there is fresh snow you can find him certainly in the mountains. The likable Bavarian moderates the Air and Style Snowboard Contests since 2004. Needless to say Alex will be present at the Billabong Air & Style 2012 in the Bergisel Stadium in Innsbruck. Because of his interpersonal communication skills with the crowd, we are looking forward to speaking choirs and “Laola-Waves” from the audience. Hi Innsbruck, Hi Schwani!
Henry Jackson (one half of the Banterbox team) has been looking forward to the Billabong Air & Style 2012 Innsbruck-Tirol all year. Apparently the chance to run a mike in front of 12,000 Tyroleans is like crack to a junkie! Henry’s history with the Air and Style goes back donkey's years as he began as a shaper back in 2002 and shaped for 4 years, building such obstacles as the huge wall ride. Henry dabbled in semi professional snowboarding for a few years, tricking a few sponsors into giving him free gear, but after a while he realized that he really wasn’t as good at snowboarding as he was at talking smack! Henry can’t wait to scream with you guys until his throat bleeds! You better be ready Innsbruck!
